The Truman Show in Japan

305

good morning from japan. i was super tired and jet lagged that as soon as i got to japan yesterday, i fell into a deep sleep. then i had the weirdest dream last. so weird that i feel like i’m still in a daze.

in my weird dream, as soon as i got off the airplane, somebody called my name, grabbed my luggage, and escorted me to a nice looking car. i took another glance it and it was a Rolls Royce? what? did somebody make a mistake? why was i being escorted into a car i haven’t ridden, or even touched in my life before? so i get in, then the Rolls Royce speeds at 140km straight to tokyo where i was led into a huge mansion in the most expensive part of japan.
wow? where am i? then my luggage gets dropped off, then the car pulls around the corner again with the door open waiting for me to get in. where are we going? nobody talks as the car heads to ginza. there is a little wooden door on the side of the building. we enter.

i sit down, the champagne bottle pops open, and out comes the first entree. fresh abalone with caviar on top. i sip my champagne, eat the abalone that felt like butter melting in my mouth. i don’t know what to think, or what to say as i take a bite of the best appetizer of my life.

i take my time as i feel the rich abalone juices run through my mouth.

then the salad comes out. wow? it was as fresh as can be. the most amazing salad i’ve ever eaten.

then the rare bottle of wine? i don’t like wine so i drank almost the whole bottle of champagne. this dream is getting weird.

then the main dish is served. a most expensive piece of steak in the world. i heard a rumor that this piece of steak is more expensive than a piece of gold the same size. i also heard another rumor that a dinner like ours cost about $10,000.

i take my first bite. OMG! i can’t even explain how good it was. i eat it slowly little bite by little bite. it just melts in my mouth as the juices running down my chin.

then the custom made desert comes out. the sweetness fills up in my mouth as i wash it down with my final sip of champagne.

then we finish dinner and head out the wooden door as the Rolls Royce pulls up. it takes us to a fancy bar, the jacksan comes out, the live music starts, and i don’t remember anything after that. a crazy dream? a weird dream? i don’t know what to say. all i have to say is, “please don’t wake me up!!!!”
ever watched the movie “The Truman Show?” it’s when they put a normal guy into a fantasy world and took video of his every action. well, i feel like somebody pulled me out of the real world, threw me into this fantasy world, and is watching everything i do. yeah, sometimes i look around if any cameras are following me. it’s a weird feeling and every time lay down to sleep, i ask myself “is this real?” then as i think nothing can top off the things i’ve experienced in my life, things just get better and better. what’s happening today? i don’t know, you have to ask the producers of “The Truman Show.” haha. but what ever it is, i’m ready for it!
