ok, i promised photos from yesterday’s Roxy contest at queen’s. even though i stayed up late choosing these photos last night, a promise is a promise. here they are:
yes, it was a busy day in waikiki. i parked my car 25 minutes away, walked in the 40mph winds, and finally arrived at the beach. it was windy, but nobody cared. sunday in hawaii is always a happy day at the beach.
you want surf lessons in waikiki? don’t see this guy, go see tony moniz.
future roxy girls.
15 of 1000 + surfboards on the beach in waikiki. a multi-million dollar business.
what’s up jeannie chesser? how did you do in your heat? hope you won!
little surfer girl. my favorite photo from yesterday.
isn’t that wakita’s daughter on the right? super cute girl!
this is how it starts. playing in the shore break, the charging waimea bay 15 years later.
do you think she’s surfing alone? no way. i just took the photo to make it look that way. there were 500 surfers in the water.
before you paddle out for your heat, you better be serious!
long line for free roxy goods!
the duke is the king of surfing.
free hair styling? i should have gotten mine done.
the 25 minute walk back to my car. far, but good exercise. i love people watching at waikiki. see some cool things in 1 hour.
