takahashi-san took me to jiro-cho sushi house last night in chatan. it’s the best sushi in the world. the chu-toro just melts in your mouth. and jiro-cho also serves the best horse sashimi. i usually don’t eat horse because i kind of feel sorry for them, but last night i couldn’t resist. does that mean if your leg is looking good, i’ll eat it too? haha… anyway, after the next swell, it’s time for me to move on. i wish i could stay in okinawa the whole time i’m in japan but there are other places i have to go to. i’ve been hearing the river mouths in shikoku are good, and also in other places. yup, a river mouth is probably my next stop. from clean blue reef breaks to brown dirty water river mouths. i’ll surf anywhere for a barrel right now… have a great evening….
everybody, meet rikio higa. rikio is a pro surfer from okinawa that just started his blog on go-naminori. i’ve known rikio for a long time and we’ve surfed together on some of the best waves okinawa has to offer. we chased typhoons in the day, and chased habusake at night. rikio is a really nice guy with the okinawan mensore spirit. now you can follow his career by checking out his blog.
i also wanted to welcome rikio to the digital world. rikio didn’t even have an email address until naoka set one up for him. his life will never be the same..
