had a super fun surfing with Nakamura-san these past 2 days. such a cool guy and a good surfer. after we surfed, he wanted to eat at my recommended restaurant. wait! today is tuesday right?
straight to Andy’s sandwiches for lunch. tuesday special was the mushroom chicken plate for $5.95. unbelievable!!!
today happened to be the owner Andy’s birthday too. all the customers sang happy birthday to him right in the shop. gosh, this is the true spirit of aloha. this is how every single family owned restaurant use to be in hawaii when i was growing up. it’s sad to see so many close but i hope Andy’s will live on forever!!!!

anyway, had a fun day surfing. hopefully have a great night sleep because i’m feeling a little jet lag. tomorrow i’ll be in the water all day, then eat some awesome food, watch the sunset, and do it all over this whole summer. hope it never ends! goodnight.
