good morning. wow, typhoon 15 grew to 920hpa which makes it the biggest typhoon i’ve ever seen in the past 20 years since i’ve been coming here. i remember being in the path of a typhoon with strength of 934hpa in okinawa and i thought i was going to die. i remember getting in the car with my video camera to document the crazy typhoon. our car almost flipped, there were pieces of roof flying in the air, trees landing on houses, and only us idiots on the road. it was dangerous but at the same time, very interesting. i still have the video and i hope to post it someday. anyway, i just hope the best for all my friends in okinawa. the worst has past and now get ready for the huge back swell. i wish i were there! but in a few weeks, i’m not going to wish i were there because i’m going to be there. see you all soon!
some surfer is going to turn 60 years in less than 4 weeks. i wonder who it is??? get ready for the big party!
i love kids, especially if i’ve known them since they were born. i’m having a good time watching these kids grow up. the cutest little boys ever!
somebody asked me where the best bentos in hawaii are. my answer is Kokorotei. one on Moilili and one in Waikiki. you won’t be disappointed.
i’m not too sure if they have this bento on the menu yet. but for me, it’s the best bento i’ve ever eating in my life. yeah, a taste of japan right in hawaii. go to Kokorotei and ask for the INA-Bento. and if they don’t have it yet, please request for it.
and i’ll leave with this last photo. i took it 2 evenings ago at Isounora Beach in wakayama. kimura-san, shinomiya-san, and i sat on the seawall watching the surf and the sunset. luckily i had my camera. this is how we end our days here as surfers. can’t beat it!
