it was good seeing team okinawa last night at the airport. i have a great bond with these guys and had some wonderful experiences for the past 12 years i’ve been going to okinawa. and to see the kids surfing getting better and better each year makes me happy. super good island, super good people, and super good surfers. Go-Okinawa!
i wish i could have jumped on the plane with them, went straight to hard reef, and partied all night with the boys! i miss my okinawan lifestyle days. can’t wait for next month. see you guys!
kazubo-san always looks after me in okinawa. he’s my friend, drinking partner, and my bodyguard. he also taught me throughout the years how to share waves. so if i ever give you a wave in hawaii, kazubo-san is partly to thank.
