good morning. gosh, yesterday was such a beautiful day!! we started out at 5am. we checked out keramas. the waves looked fun and there was nobody out. but diving was on our minds so we decided to get fish instead….
we drove 2 hours deep into indonesia. the landscape was amazing!! next time i come to bali, i’m going to rent a car and drive as far as i can. we found some good dive spots, and some good surf spots as well. exploring is cool because you just don’t know what you’ll see..
we pull up to this little village, make a deal to charter a little indo fishing boat, and dove all day long… we got travelly’s, katsuo, rainbow runners, and opelu kala. i speared a big tuna but it got away. kyle speared a big GT and that got away too. we know the spot and they will be there next time for sure. it was a long boat trip, and a long drive back to sanur. i was really tired but stoked to eat fresh fish for dinner last night.
this is all good fish. every single one is the best for sashimi. the meat is different color, the texture is different, and the taste is different too. what a great day it was!!!
