i woke up this morning feeling sore all over. arms, shoulders, abs, back, super itai. i haven’t had a good workout like yesterday in a while. i jumped on the scale and i’m 8 lbs (3.6 kilos) lighter. i feel great, i feel healthy, and i feel like doing it again.
some of the most spectacular views are on the south/east side of oahu. seeing it from the road is one thing, but seeing it from the ocean is another. the only freaky thing for me was getting hit by a whale. i thought about it a few times and it just made me paddle faster and faster. it was deep blue water all the way and once i hit diamond head and could see the reef, i was relieved. really relieved.
this was my turning point. i stopped to take a photo of the rainbow. then i looked at my watch and seen that i have a chance to make it back to waikiki in 3 hours. this is where i started paddling my fastest. i was like a machine yelling and everything. paddle, breathe, paddle, breathe!!!! i felt like i could have paddled on forever.
i like this photo dave yamaya took of shun. i remember when shun was first trying to do airs. now, this kid is landing them. great air, great photo, great combo. good job boys.
a 19 year old girl was grabbed in the parking lot at windward mall in the day. the guy tried to kidnap her and pull her into his car. that’s crazy! hawaii is getting crazy! everybody please be careful. if somebody grabs you, scream, kick him in the balls, poke his eyes, and RUN!!!!
