well, it was a long flight back home but i’m glad i made it. the flights were all full leaving narita so that’s the reason why i took a flight backwards to fukuoka because there was no way i was going to miss last night. Kelia Moniz winning the world title didn’t surprise me at all. i knew from the beginning that she could do it and i just had to be there to celebrate when that time came. and last night was the night. Tiare and my sister did an awesome job on planning the party. gosh, it was amazing! 300 people who have been supporting Kelia ever since she was a little kid all in one room. it was good to see all the happy people celebrating together. i took some photos here but there will be more surfacing soon so stand by.
this is my sister, Kelia’s mom. or should i say “super mom.”
Tiare did an awesome job on the Candy Store section. gosh, everything was awesome. the next time i throw a go-naminori party, i’m calling Tiare!
Kelia will be going to australia in february for the ASP awards. it will be there where she will be giving the award for 2012 ASP World Champion in front of the world media. i wish i can go! or maybe, i will go? by the way, i brought this photo home and after i get kelia to sign it, i will be giving it away to some lucky go-naminori viewer.
the cupcakes were awesome!
the entertainment was awesome too. Kimie Miner is a rising star here in hawaii and you can hear her music all day long on the radio. it was my first time seeing her live and she was awesome!
and the Molokai hula show was awesome too! this is hawaii!
meet the Moniz family. surf, love, and respect. what more can i say.
anyway, wanted to congratulate Kelia again. great job on the modeling and great job on the surfing. you have millions of fans around the world and it’s your time to show them the way. it’s your time to shine girl!
