wanna hear something weird? ever since kelia won the world title, she’s the most demanded surfer girl in the world now. from interviews, to modeling photo shoots, to spending time with here friends. i wanted to get an interview from her for her fans in japan but at the same time, didn’t want to bother her. so i didn’t. then yesterday, she just pops up at my house. we talk, i grab the video camera, and the timing couldn’t be any better because kelia’s back off to california soon.
i had to make a backdrop at my house because it was raining outside. the cool thing is i had her posters from the party so it couldn’t have been any better.
then i got her to sign them so now i’m trying to figure out who to give it to and how. anyway, we took the video and now i need some time to edit and post it. but before that, i totally forgot about the other video i took in october of her and her brothers longboarding waikiki. i remember getting the call that morning from kelia and there was no way i was going to miss out surfing with my family. it’s times like this that are just too precious for me. when these kids were still babies, i was dreaming of the day we could all go surfing together. i had my camera and if you want to see how fun surfing small waves in waikiki is, check it out. thank you kelia for calling me up, thank you micah, isaiah, joshua, and seth for showing up, and thank you tammy and tony for just being there for the kids and even myself and supporting our surfing careers!
