good morning on this windy tuesday!! things were flying around outside my house last night. 25 mph gusts? the waves? junk on the north shore. flat in town. there is some east trade wind swell so if you know where to look, you can find some pretty nice waves with nobody around.
do you know what time of year it is? TAXES!!! oh my gosh!! i hate it. it takes me about 4 full days to get everything organized so today will be day 1. ahhhh….. have a nice day…
when i was checking the view yesterday above waikiki, i seen something pretty cool. see that black spot? that’s fish. a lot of small fish forming a black ball. i think i might get my bamboo fishing pole and go get a few today. hope nobody else is there…
spring of 2006 is when i use to walk around the streets in japan with my film camera. i use to shoot roll after roll trying to figure out what shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and lens to use. my old nikon film camera was pretty manual at everything so i had to learn from scratch. i wasted a lot of film but at the same time, got some cool photos. i bought the housing and old school camera from my old school friend mike prickett. ever heard of him? he’s now the top surfing videographer in the world. thanks mike for inspiring me….
this shot is off the first roll of film i ever put into my nikon 2010 camera and housing. i took this at haleiwa beach park with a 28 mm manual focus lens. when i seen this photo after developing the roll, i was pretty stoked….
and last, i was looking back at some old photos and came across this one. i remember taking this photo but i don’t remember where and when it was. would you know by just looking at these locals?
