A Young Man's Dream….

251

good morning. 7 am and the waves are going off!! solid 3′ and perfect. i’m going surfing!!! have a nice day.

i had a dentist appointment yesterday and was running late. i didn’t eat lunch and i knew that my mouth would be numb for hours so i better get something to eat. only had 10 minutes so i stopped by mcdonalds. yuck!! i hate mcdonalds!!! i ordered the angus beef burger with fries and a big drink. after a few bites, i felt like i drank a cup of oil. i couldn’t finish it and felt worst than i did before i got there. i don’t ever want to eat there again…

then when i got to my dentist, they took my blood pressure. oh my gosh!!! 144 115. that’s the highest ever!! i usually average around 131 83. i blame on that ronald mcdonald…. after my dentist, i went to surf to burn off some calories. and i still feel sick….

i met this kid from california named Yaasin about 3 years ago. he found me through youtube and has been following go-naminori ever since. we’ve been exchanging emails talking about surfing, education, and life. yaassin has a dream, which is to come to hawaii to surf. he’s been dreaming everyday for a long time and is taking the right steps on making that dream come true. i always stressed to him that education is very important and i’m so proud of him recently graduating from his freshman year in college. yassin’s been studying japanese so he’s been sending me emails in both japanese and english. he’s very respectful, very smart, and very positive. i’m going to meet this kid and take him surfing some day. if i can help him stay on the right track with education, japanese, and kindness, i’ll do what ever it takes. kids like yassin are rare these days and kids like yassin are the kind of people that could make a difference in this world…
hey yassin,
what’s up dude. thanks for the email. sorry for the late response. i know you know i’m pretty busy here in hawaii. it’s a bummer you couldn’t make it over in april, but i’m glad you didn’t because i wasn’t here anyway. let me know your plans so we can go surf someday and enjoy hawaii. congratulations on completing your first year as a freshman in college. you got 3 more years to go so please don’t give up. ganbatte!!! when you stay focus and graduate from college, you will have a feeling that not too many people have. you will come out a confident young man that will have the ability to do anything you please. don’t worry about sacrificing surfing for now, the ocean will always be there for you. and i’m stoked you started a blog dude. now i can follow a young mans road to his dreams. remember, stay focused, get good grades, don’t party, graduate from college, and the world will be yours. and hey, i’ll link your blog on go-naminori. you deserve to be on there. keep in touch..
aloha,
kirby
