see those little black fish? they are called “Kole” and are one of the best eating fish deep fried. a lot of my friends ask me to spear it for them so i do. i just don’t think people know how much trouble it is to catch these, especially where i go diving. yeah, i dive in shark invested waters. and not to mention how dirty it was the other day. visibility was only 5′ and you actually had to dive down to see what was down there. so i get my pole spear out, dive down in the dirty water, and spear kole number 1. as soon as i hit it, i seen this big dark shadow racing for me. it was a very hungry shark. i go back to the boat, put the fish in the cooler, then try to spear another one. bam! then another shark comes straight for me and tries to eat the fish off my spear. i pull the fish away and take it on my boat. then i figure i’d take a photo of the sharks so i grab my camera.

it was dirty so even the shark was so close to me, you can barely see it. i knew i needed about 10 of these Kole’s to make my friend happy so every time i speared one, i would lift my spear with the fish on it out of the water and swim back to my boat. put it in the cooler, and did it over and over as the shark was swimming crazy under me looking for the fish. 30 minutes later, i see kyle on the boat telling me “hey, there are 2 aggressive sharks around here.” haha. i told one of my friends the story yesterday and she thought i was crazy. maybe i am, but when i gave my friend the fish today, he was very happy. so i guess it was worth it.
