i picked up the kids this morning and i couldn’t stop laughing inside. they were all so classic!!! they had a million of questions and i tried to answer them all. once we got in the water, they were like little quiet babies…..
there was first 6 of us, then next thing you know, there were like 15. all the kewalo’s boys came down. i still don’t understand why they don’t dive out at kewalo’s? there is more fish down there and the water is way cleaner. in their little minds, they think kewalo’s has a lot of sharks. that’s weird because i see way more sharks out at portlock then kewalo’s… haha…
they were trying really hard i was stoked to see them put so much effort into catching a meal…
i brought isaiah to this same place to fish when he was like 5 years old. he caught a really small fish with his pole, today, he speared a really small fish… haha…
this is kaulana. out of the 15 kids that were there this morning, i bet a few of them are going to turn into great free divers. and i’ll bet that someday they will be in skin diver magazine and on skin diver tv. these kids push each other so hard in what ever they do and that’s the key. future free dive national champions? wait and see….
and last, check out this funny photo that marissa nishiki sent me last night. she took it when i crossed the finish line after the race. i totally forgot that my legs buckled when i stood up on the sand. i didn’t fall, but almost did. now i remember. haha… thanks marissa!!!
