wow, what a wonderful day! surfed early morning, then in the afternoon again. the waves were perfect and we caught so many good ones. and in between sessions, i was running around town like a mad man. just speeding all over the place trying to get things done. i didn’t even have time to eat lunch today. then when i went to pick up a new car for a friend, the car dealership told me “wow, why are you in such a rush?” i told him, “i’m a very busy guy, so just give me the papers and tell me where to sign!” he asked me what i do, i told him, “i surf, i take people surfing, and i surf!” then he told me “wow, you have a great job!” i told him, “thank you, yes i do. now hurry up and give me the papers to sign!” haha. this guy was in a suit, i was in my shorts with sand on my feet. as i left, i’m sure the guy was thinking surfers are crazy!
it was a first time for everybody to eat hawaiian food. the good thing about this experience is the food was all from molokai. from the meat, to the fish, to the poke, to the poi. everything super fresh grown locally in molokai. no additives, no preservatives, and no chemicals. i was so happy everybody liked it! as for me, i loved it!
our private chef started us out with fresh poke!
opihi is like hawaiian abalone. the most fishermen in hawaii that die from fishing is from picking opihi. it’s so dangerous to get, and that’s why it’s so expensive.
chicken long rice and lomi salmon. gosh, i had 3 servings of poi with this.
and the top prime ribeye from molokai was the best! so tender and juicy.
wanted to thank our local private chef Gene for making us the best hawaiian food molokai had to offer. onolicious!
