wow! the waves were absolutely perfect again today! surfed 2 rounds of perfect point break waves. warm water, blue sky, cool trade winds, and perfect glassy conditions. i’m totally sunburned and totally satisfied with surfing so much. but still want more!
the last typhoon in taiwan was pretty mellow. just a few things got thrown around. BUT, there is another typhoon brewing in the pacific and if the forecast is right, taiwan is going to get hit again! OMG!
i wonder how Masamune-kun is doing? when i taught him surfing from the start, i told him, “hey, if you want to be a great surfer, you have to carry your own board.” then i taught him how to put the fins in, how to wax up, and how to smile. i hope he remembered all and is surfing some great waves in japan. ok, there it is. see that yellow circle? that is the next typhoon that should be called a typhoon by tomorrow. strong winds, strong swell, and heading straight to okinawa and taiwan. i’m following this everyday and since i have a few days off next week, i’m getting ready to book a ticket. to where? still don’t know. will find out the morning i leave. so to all my friends, please keep me posted because i’m too busy surfing here in hawaii. haha. just joking! working hard!
ok, Mr. Kawamoto go arrested, finally woke up, and sold ALL his property in hawaii. yeah, so the ugly empty lots on kahala avenue have new owners and hopefully things will improve. the sale was recorded at $98 million dollars! i guess going to jail humbles some people.
