well, typhoon 19 is now a super typhoon and is going to do some damage. yeah, great waves for us surfers, but not so great for other people. heavy rain, strong winds, floods, and even deaths. i hope everybody is safe. i’ve been chasing typhoons for half my life and if i didn’t have any work this week, i’d be either in taiwan or the philippines right now risking my life.
but since i can’t go chase the typhoon, i have to keep my mind off it or i’ll go crazy. so jumping on a boat yesterday, and taking mine out today put me in a relaxing mode. i surfed, i dove, and i enjoyed this last summer day in hawaii. tomorrow officially starts autumn so the south shore will start to sleep as the north shore wakes up. hope you’re ready because i sure am!
i meet the most interesting people everyday. these 2 local guys i met on the boat yesterday were talking and i overheard them saying “Go-Naminori, Surf Your Dream!” huh? these guys have been following Go-Naminori. what a super small world!
from fuji with love. this is Toda-san’s love tummy! haha!
remember i went to hokkaido a few months ago? well, i went with my friend who bought a race horse. a very strong horse, and a very expensive horse. that horses name is “Go-Naminori!” Go-Naminori’s been in training these past months learning how to come out of the gate, and learning how to run. 2 weeks ago, he made his debut and did really well. today at 10:40am japan time or 3:40pm hawaii time, Go-Naminori will be racing on japan national tv for his second time. i put in my bet, you should too because this horse will win! Go-Naminori!!! Surf Your Dream!!!!
