jumping on the boat was a great experience. just to see how the locals do it down there in Bagasbas Beach. they surf their beach break, then when the special day comes, they jump on a fishing boat and head out to the islands. they told me the day we surfed was in the excellent range. i was super stoked to share such a special session with them.
Local boy Caloy on the left and Local girl Mocha in the middle. Mocha is the pioneer of womens surfing down at bagasbas beach. she’s been surfing for 20 years and rips! she was our guide both day and night. super fun time with her and if you ever go to Bagasbas Beach to surf, she’s the one to guide you.
i jumped in the water and Scott shot some photos from the boat. imagine perfect waves like this all morning! here i am paddling into a perfect left point wave.
there’s this kid named Salvador Oclares or better known as “Onyo.” this kid surfs so good with big carves and radical airs. i was so happy to see all the stoke in surfing! this is all of our crew sharing waves and the memory that will last forever.
Aljun Vargus on a nice one. thanks Scott for shooting the photos from the boat.
i took some gopro so stay tuned. have hundreds of photos i will post when i get back to hawaii. 2 more typhoons sending swell to japan, taiwan, and the philippines right now. i’m kind of burnt out from surfing so many good waves this week, and i have a job to do back in hawaii. back to reality for me. after this year, i now have 3 secret weapons! each country being unique in its own way and now i can choose. but for me, paddling out to waves with only a couple of friends to surf and share is the way my desire is right now. travel, surf, explore, and surf alone. can’t beat that combination!
