wow, the last storm really cleaned our island. all the mountains and streets must be really clean now as all the rubbish is in the ocean. some out to sea, some stuck in the ala wai. yucky!
the monster tako are in!!! during the winter months, the big tako come closer into shore and yesterday Brent sent me this photo of John’s tako! 10lbs!!!!
then when i went out to wash my boat in waikiki yesterday evening, my anchor got stuck to the reef so i put my mask and swam down to untangle it. then on the bottom, i see a monster tako looking me in the eye. i play with it, get him out of the hole, and got him on my boat. this one was probably 8lbs. super big head and super thick legs. i thought he was going to eat me! haha. put him in the ziplock bag, stuck it in the freezer, and will have a big tako yaki party soon!
