who needs surfline? who needs nami aru? who needs FMOC or TBS weather report? not me. i got the real deal surf report for one of the best surf reporters in the world. Else lives on an island in front of one of the worlds best kept secret point rights. her house looks out to the right, and the left across the channel. you can actually take a canoe right to her doorstep. i met Else 2 years ago and ever since then, we’ve been exchanging text messages. when the waves come up, Else texts me. i turn on my computer and check the weather charts. i remember what swell direction, what wind direction, and the course of the storm that sends swells there. i don’t write it down because when it comes to things like that, my memory is better than a computer. so on this trip, we had to time it right to take the 14 hour boat ride over there because there was no turning back. how did we do? SCORE!!! we couldn’t have timed it better and and i want to thank my indonesian surf reporter Else for getting us there in perfect time!!!
hey Else, i think everybody on the boat wants to thank you. check out kyle in the channel watching perfect unridden rights go by. there were a lot of barrels and happy surfers those 2 days we were there…. Else, keep the surf reports coming and as soon as i find a way to get there by airplane, car, bike or walking, i will take up your offer and stay at your house and surf one of the worlds best secrets all to myself….
