i worked yesterday morning and was almost done when my nephews texted me telling me they were going to dive. i was planning to go home and spend my afternoon fixing their boat but instead texted them, “ok, let’s go at 1pm.” i met them at the harbor and off we went! Josh and Seth bought a new boat so they used theirs and i followed them in mine. i was stoked to see them turning into watermen.
Seth bought his gopro and wanted to film. but once he hit the water to spearfish, he didn’t want to do anything with his gopro. all he wanted to do was spear fish. it was so funny watching him so anxious to get into the water.
Benji is from South Africa and is the boys friend. he wants to learn how to spearfish so he was in the right place. i told him, “just watch and try to copy what we are doing.” i’m sure this kid will become a good spear fisher someday.
as for my nephews and Kaito, they really impressed me yesterday. watching them feel so comfortable going down to the bottom, waiting, and even going in and out of caves was cool. i can see their confidence level going up each dive. they caught a lot of fish, and i think they had it for dinner right after. great lifestyle boys!
i’m so proud of these kids. watching them grow up into international surfers, hawaii spear divers, and being so humble is precious. they deserve the world and i will support them until they achieve all their dreams!
OMG, i freaking found a gopro yesterday!!!! yeah, found one! it’s like finding $399 on the ground and after i picked it up, i was so happy! but as i drove home, i thought about the times i lost my cameras. i was so bummed out and will never forget the feeling of all the lost memories on the memory stick. so today i’m going to open it up, see if there are images of the owner on the memory stick, and find him or her. stay tuned because this could be yours! i watch Hawaii Five-O and learned how to investigate so i’m pretty sure i can find the owner before christmas. d
