ok, i don’t even have time to download things off my other cameras. but i carefully opened the gopro i found yesterday and took a snapshot of one of the videos. how did i find it? i was sitting in the lineup yesterday and i always look down because i love the ocean. i look for fish, turtles, tako, and anything that moves. but i seen something that i haven’t seen before. it was a weird shape and being 5′ underwater, i took a dive down to get a closer look. as i approached it, i knew it was a gopro. OMG! yeah, it’s like looking on the ground and finding $400. what a lucky day!
ok, if anybody knows this girl, send me an email so i can get her gopro back to her. the memory stick is probably full of memories. not mine, hers. so from this this photo and from my instinct, here is more info. the gopro was in quite good condition except for a lot of sand jammed in the housing. it took some careful tender care and i managed to open it, clean it, and put it back together in mint condition. with that being said, the gopro can’t have been in the ocean for more than 3-5 days. and looking at this photo, it was exactly 4 days ago when the weather was really bad like this. i surf bowls everyday so i know the weather, waves, and people that were out. so this gopro must have been lost on sunday, december 15th. the girl looks young, guessing 16 or 17? i’ve never seen her before so she probably doesn’t surf out there too often. i’m sure she was sad when she lost but i have hope that i can find her and give it back. so if anyone of you know her, let me know. and if in 2 weeks i don’t get a response, i’m going to take it out to pipeline to make another youtube video. yeah, i always wanted a gopro hero 3. maybe this might be my gift from santa? haha.
