good morning. hawaii marathon coming up tomorrow so a lot of japanese in hawaii! minnasan ganbare!!! i hope the weather clears up for them. got so many things going on. i looked at my calendar and there is not one open day until jan. 4th. but like always, surf is first! nothing big coming for a while so it’s small wave surfing on the north shore. and also a possible small finish to the pipe masters. that sucks… well, got to get going with my beautiful day…. hope you have a wonderful one!!
**35 years is a long time to run a successful company. dove wetsuits has been around since surfing started in japan. history in the making….
i’ve never been to a party with so many people from so many walks of life… there was a lot of fame in the air…
mabo-san is famous in hawaii. why? because he sponsored the mabo royal contest at haleiwa for many of years. that contest was the stepping stone for a lot of local aspiring pro surfers, including myself. i use to look forward to that contest every year and i still have my trophy from 20 years ago…
after walking around the party for 3 hours doing cheers with everybody, i was a little buzzing. so when it was time to take a photo with shun, i had to keep my eyes open. it wouldn’t look good seeing a drunk uncle standing by this kid….
if you were to add all the surfing years in all these legends, you would have over 300 years of surfing history…
