spent a wonderful thanksgiving day right here in waikiki. meet the moniz family and friends for a relaxing tourist like day. yes, this one spot looked very crowded but it was actually all of us. 11 of us at one time.
Isaiah on the SUP. just 2 days ago he barely advanced to the 2nd round of the world cup at sunset beach. i’m sure he will step it up and come out on top in the next day of competition.
Joshua is one of the strongest 17 year old surfers in the world. an amateur world champion looking to make the top 32 professionals of the world.
surfing and looking at all the people in waikiki was cool. this is were surfing was born! glad to be a part of the culture.
Seth playing around. while the rest of the ASP competitors are practicing out at sunset, Seth is in waikiki enjoying his life. something every kid should do.
Takami-san hasn’t surfed waikiki in over 20 years. and after getting smashed by a SUP right when she got out, i could understand why she didn’t come back, and will probably never come back. haha.
Seth and his aunty tandem surfing. it looks pretty easy, but this actually takes talent.
seeing my little nephew smiling like this makes me so happy. i don’t remember being that happy when i was 16 years old.
sharing is caring. we call this “the party wave!”
Joshua and Seth playing around. yes, these are triple crown competitors enjoying their hawaiian lifestyle.
group shot. the water was so beautiful. and so was the weather.
spending a happy thanksgiving day with family and friends is what thanksgiving is all about. i am very thankful for everything and everybody in my life. thank you all!
Toda-san looking like a waikiki beach boy.
well, north shore might be ugly, but if you drive 1 hour into town, you will see a total different side of hawaii. the side of hawaii i lived my whole life. and now you can understand why i am so thankful!
