after traveling around the world, i can make a confirmation that japan has the best food and no where even comes close. quality and presentation at it’s best. so walking into En last night made my eyes, stomach, and heart very happy!
in hawaii, nobody eats moray eel. but in japan, people in wakayama eat it. it’s my 2nd time and i really like it. sashimi and in nabe was the best.
this was new to me. shark? i’ve never tried shark before and after eating a piece, i will probably never eat it again. it had a texture and taste that i can’t even explain. Kimura-san loves it, but i’d prefer turtle or whale.
such a super traditional restaurant but something looked different this time.

this is my kind of place! some cold draft beer, awesome food, then to end it off with some jacksan on the rocks. a perfect ending.
then we get the daiko home. in japan, it’s illegal to drive after you drink. even a sip, you will get caught. a $10,000 fine and a lot of embarrassment so don’t even try it. i wish we had the daiko service in hawaii. if so, i’d use it all the time.
