the night before, the three of us plan to dive. of course we know it’s supposed to be heavy rain and the worst weather possible. but we decide to go anyway. i get up at 6am, check the waves, and it was raining so hard that you couldn’t even see the ocean. then i start getting the texts:
from Kekoa: Are we still going? I can’t see the ocean.
from Kyle: Still going? Looks buss!
for me, i’m going no matter what. yes, it’s raining and storming. it’s only water right? and plus, i feel much safer in the ocean than driving in the dangerous traffic.
then on the way down to the harbor, i get the Emergency Alert Flash Flood Warning. 9/11? flash flood? scary seeing this on my phone. anyway, went to meet up with the boys and off in the rain we went!
when it rains, the water is usually dirty. the trick is to go look for the clean water. i had a spot marked on my GPS that i use to dive many years ago. we anchor, jump in, and catch a lot of fish. Kyle got some fish, Kekoa got some fish, and this was the fish i got. for divers, this is a very very good day! it felt so good to be underwater watching all the sea life! and felt so good getting the best quality fish in the ocean.
then another dark storm was approaching so we headed back to the harbor in the pouring rain. then came the thunder, then came the lighting. it was a pretty crazy day!
lucky none of us got struck by lightning. back and safe in the harbor. thank you Kekoa and Kyle for the crazy weather diving day. can’t wait to do it again!
then went to a family chinese dinner. so full! and so thirsty! maybe too much MSG?
ok, the new iPhone 6s will be available on september 25th. i heard the camera is even better then ever. can’t wait to get mine!
