i went to bali around 5 years ago to dive. went diving with indonesia’s #1 spear fisherman Andre. had a great time watching his techniques and checking out his gear. before i left back to hawaii, i stopped by his shop to look at the custom guns he builds. i dreamt about buying one but passed up on it. well, that’s what i thought. i must be getting old and forgetful because i had a feeling i had something hidden under my bed. so i took a look yesterday and found something amazing.
OMG, a brand new Andre gun! i did buy one! i did bring it back to hawaii! haha. i must have brought it home and just put it under my bed. 5 year later, i get it out, wipe off all the dust, and now i’m putting it together.
this gun is awesome! hand made from indonesia using the best teak wood. it’s a 120cm blue water gun. perfect for my deep dives in hawaii. after i spear an ono or mahimahi with it, i’ll let you know how it works. can’t wait to get it wet!
when ever i get on an airplane, i always try to sit right next to the exit door. why? because i want to be the one to open the door if my plane crashes. yes, i think about these things. and if the plane crashes, i wouldn’t want to depend on anyone else but myself. i know i won’t panic and can open this door in 10 seconds. i visualize it all the time before my plane takes off.
