gosh, it was a great day for hawaii! perfect waves on maui for the target pro, and good waves on oahu for the world cup at sunset. an action packed surfing day for sure!
i couldn’t believe how good the girls got Honolua Bay. omg, it was as good as it gets! and to be the last contest of the season crowing the world champion down to the wire. it was so exciting and probably the best women’s contest in the history of surfing.
it was unbelievable how good Carissa Moore was surfing. i remember watching this 10 year old girl getting pushed into waves at diamond head by her father. i remember her ripping the wave and smiling the whole way. it was the cutest thing ever! now she’s on top of the world! here she is on her perfect 10 point ride.
3X World Champion and many more to come. great job Carissa!
meanwhile, the contest at Sunset Beach going off too! i was watching both contests online but to tell you the truth, the girls surfing was much more exciting. haha. tomorrow they are going to run the contest 99% and crown a World Cup Champion in the afternoon.
i use to go to the contests and watch all day long. but now days, it’s better to watch it online. you get commentating, scores, replays, and lot’s of visuals. and plus, you can get other work done. so as i was working on the boat for 4 hours in the rain, i was also watching the contest on my iPhone.
finally i put 2 breaker switches in. always wanted to but never had the time. so work on the boat and watch the contest at the same time was a wonderful day for me. that’s called “killing two birds with one stone.”
