had a fun afternoon session with Hiyori-chan and her wonderful family from Ishinomaki. it was the first time for her brothers so Hiyori-chan was the expert yesterday. check out Maki-san in the back getting the shot!
Kaito-kun is a tough kid. i met him 4.5 years ago and he was playing baseball at the time. then he started to paddle one man canoe and won every event he entered. now he is the 2015 ALL JAPAN CHAMPION! yes, the #1 in japan. that’s amazing!
Kaito-kun is way taller and much more heavier than me. all muscle and super solid! at 18 years old, this kid can reach the top of any sport. surfing was way too easy for him. this is his first wave!
Minami-kun was a little boy when i first met him. now he’s very tall and is going to become just as big as his older brother Kaito-kun. this is his first wave!
and when Minami-kun paddled back out, i didn’t even have to ask him how it was. just look at his smile.
Chiho-chan’s first wave too! all of them surfed so well and had so much energy. if i didn’t say after 2 hours, “ok, let’s go in!” nobody would have gone in. haha.

i’d have to say that this was a very special moment for me. i am truly happy to have these wonderful kids with me enjoying the ocean. it’s moments like these that are totally priceless. i better go before i start crying again.
