was glad to leave the city and head out on our exploration trip.
but first, had to grab a fresh corn.
i love it! fresh and cheap. perfect!
so awesome traveling with someone. usually do this alone so enjoying the company a lot. lots and lots to catch up like always. traveling with your friend with the wind. stoke
i was researching for 4 hours on where to go. exchanging emails, phone calls, and trying to figure out mother nature. wondering where the wind will take us.
figured out the plan. awesome!
but wanted to double check on the bus schedule so i went to the from desk to ask. they told me the bus schedule and even called up the bus company. but something didn’t seem right. so before getting a 1.5 hour taxi to the bus station, they said 12:30pm, but i thought i’d better double check.
the hotel got it wrong!!!! omg! no busses till 12:30am. what are we going to do now???? i don’t like to be stuck in a busy city so we searched for other options.
hire a private driver? umm. expensive. very expensive. but it’s either spend the money or get stuck in the city for another day. spend the money right? google said it will take 5 hours 23 minutes to get there. they were wrong. calculate the traffic, accidents, road construction, and overturned trucks, it took almost 8 hours.
our driver tell us “if we get lost, we will all get lost together.” haha. it was his first time driving all this way and even he didn’t know what to expect. haha.
as soon as we got into the car leaving manila, we past by the monument where Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko was supposed to pull up. it was pretty exciting to know they were really close by.
and the japanese support was there. news cameras everywhere.
back to our long journey. we arrived at night, our driver dropped us off, and started the long drive back to manila. i felt so sorry for him.
got some waves and got some wind. going naminori!
