it’s been 10 years since i started doing yoga. i remember when i first started, i thought “this is weird, why do people want to do this?” but now after doing it for so long, i understand why people do it, and i don’t think it’s weird at all. in fact, yoga has helped me in so many ways. it’s helped my surfing, my free diving, my body, my mind, and my soul. but most important, it’s given me the ability to free my mind. that’s the key to a happy life. i can see myself continuing doing yoga forever, and i can see myself encouraging others to do so. and just like surfing, it’s never to late to start. so get a yoga mat, find a yogi instructor, and enjoy the world of freedom! namaste!
omg, the TSSC Users Surf Contest is this sunday already! i can’t wait to see everyone again! the happy faces, the great time, and the magic boards. all coming in a few more days on the beautiful island of shikoku. see you there!
i’ve been going to the TSSC contest for the last 23 years. and for most of the times, i’ve been going on surf trips right after. mostly to the indian ocean side because i think april is the best time for the early swells and uncrowded surf. this year is going to be a little different. this year, i’m staying at probably the best place on earth for a surfer. a short flight from bali, we will arrive on the beautiful island of sumba. i have my surfboard, my mask and snorkel, and my cameras to document a once in a lifetime experience. and now that i’m finally leaving hawaii today, i can really start to get excited for this whole trip. japan, indonesia, then japan all in 11 days. i know it will go by fast so i hope to slow down and enjoy every moment. every moment at this top of the line surfers hotel.
