i have the coolest local surfer friends. Byron’s been surfing for 50 years and knows everybody from back in the 70’s. just a super cool brother that’s always smiling and telling his amazing stories.
Asayama-san took it up to another level yesterday. surfed the main peak at bowls and felt the real south shore power!

it’s crazy how fit Asayama-san is now compared to last year. bigger chest, muscular arms, and calm mind. all from surfing and yoga!
then went to pick up the honeymooners in the afternoon. Miki-san surfing for the very first time. and standing up on her very first wave.
Okamoto-san’s been surfing for a while now and it shows in his surfing. super smooth and super stoked!
the waves were so good in the afternoon. i seen some awesome waves ridden.

Miki-san caught a wave and fell. then my camera somehow got stuck in her leash by her foot. it was so weird!!! i was looking for it and thought i lost another one. then i seen it hanging from the leash by her foot. weird.
welcome to hawaii you honeymooners! awesome surfing and awesome smiles. you both did great! have a safe flight back to ibaraki and keep on surfing!
then came home, grabbed a beer, then headed to the concert. it was so amazing! songs from the 80’s that brought back so many good memories! THE CURE!
