went up to my friends house in hawaii kai to talk story. come to find out, he has a buggy too. i’ve known Neil since high school. we use to surf contests together, hang out at sandy beach, and be good friends. haven’t seen him in years so was good to catch up. spent a few hours at his house talking about buggys, fishing, diving, surfing, and dreams. good to see you brother Neil!
yesterday was creepy for me. i went to a volleyball game at my old high school, Kaiser High. i haven’t been there since i graduated so it was weird recollecting all the memories. i got my first car at 15 years old so i use to drive to school in this very same parking lot when i was a sophomore.
sitting in the bleachers of the football field was cool. we had a really good football team back then.
i had time so i went walking around the campus. F building is where my auto mechanics class was. i’ll never forget Mr. Minami for begin so patient with me.
and this is where my sex education class was. i will never forget Mrs. Fujioka because she showed our class a home video of her giving birth to her 2 kids. yeah, front angle too. i was only 15 years old and i’m still traumatized by that. so yes, in this very classroom, i learned about sex. haha.
hawaii kai is a cool place to live. have some great memories there!
this is the front office. if you were a good student, you would never have to visit this office. but if you were a bad student like me, you would have spent a lot of time in the principals office. i remember getting called to the office on many times. suspended for fighting, yelled at for being late, or waiting for my mom to pick me up because the principal sent me home. haha.
kaiser always had a beautiful gym. nothing has changed except for my age. i had a great time remembering my good old days. or should i say, my bad old days. last night reminded me how terrible i was back then. i’m just so lucky to have turned out a normal person after all i went through. thank goodness!
on the way home i stopped by to have a beer with Maki-san, Kanae-san, and Saito-san. i’m glad they didn’t know me when i was in high school because if they did, i don’t think they would want to be my friends. haha.
i love the rain! keep it coming!
