always have fun coaching Aoi. the most rewarding thing is watching him getting better and better. this kid has so much potential that he can’t even see. but i sure can. once he gets a little more confidence, he will get a whole lot better. perfect style on this perfect turn!
looking at this kid at the young age at 14, it’s like me looking at myself in a mirror when i was that age. the only difference is he is surfing way better than i did when i was 14. that’s why i have so much faith in him.
perfect waves, perfect turn. gosh, we scored this morning!
awesome surfing Aoi! just remember what we practiced today, remember it, and apply it everyday. you are doing great!
the love and support Aoi’s mother gives to him is amazing. i keep telling him how lucky he is to have such a supportive surf mother. when you’re 14, you take things for granted. this kid has no idea yet how lucky he is to have your mom take you to the beach every single day. someday he will.
then went to pick up the Birthday Princess! i asked her what she wanted to do last week and when she said “i want to spend the day on Mayuki with my friends,” i was so happy because there is nowhere else i’d rather be on this special day! Happy 15th Birthday Mia!
you have six 15 year old girls snorkeling, singing, and dancing all afternoon long. i just kept to myself laughing and laughing so hard. haha.
then went to take a little nap under the shade because i wanted to let the kids be kids. peace on earth!
