seeing results makes me so happy. so when i tell Nao-san to look forward when taking off, i’m happy. this is perfect!
and when she keeps on looking forward and making drops on beautiful waves like this, it gets even better. absolutely perfect surfing Nao-san!
if you have the right board on the right day, surfing can be so amazing! and if you don’t, surfing won’t be so amazing. luckily, it’s always amazing for me.
now i’m not afraid to ride along Nao-san because she’s in total control!

our conversations are always so interesting. talking to a very highly educated and successful woman is cool. living in Israel as a kid, back to japan, then to Boston University for her Masters degree, then now working for Apple Japan in the main office. Nao-san speaks perfect english, and has the perfect life. if i were the CEO at any company in the world, this would be the first person i would hire. Apple is lucky to have her. and so am i to have her as a friend!
we surfed and watched the sun set into the ocean. it was freaking so beautiful!
then came out and watched the sky turn purple.
surfing till dark is a great feeling. you should all try it someday.
ate a loco moco, talked more about surfing, education, and life. i’m going to miss this girl. thank you Nao-san for the week of laughs and memories. have a safe trip back to japan and i’m sure i’ll see you again soon.
