found this photo floating on my desktop. the girls enjoying our little boat trip.
planning a night out to see my dear friends later this week. this was last year, and hope we get another group shot this year.
speaking of friends. this is my high school buddy Mike Prickett. Mike is a world wide famous photographer, even shooting video for hollywood movies. he was on assignment scuba diving in tahiti when a co-worker panicked and fell off the ledge sinking to 100 meters. Mike risked his life to go down to the unknown depths to save his co-workers life. his co-worker survived, but Mike got decompression sickness. Mike ended up paralyzed from the waist down and his doctors said he will never walk again. Mike fought back and proved the doctors wrong. he’s walking now and i couldn’t be any prouder to have such a hero as a friend. and if it happened again, i’m sure Mike would do the same thing to save a life.
thank you Saori-san for sending me this photo. somebody told me the other day i didn’t look like myself recently. he said i looked tired and overworked. i told him “no, i’m not tired, and i’m not overworked.” it bothered me for a little while because when i think about it, i’m probably the happiest i’ve ever been in my life. i feel energetic, and i love my job.
on top of that, i’m surfing everyday! and i’ve been meeting the coolest people every single day and nothing can beat that! and to top that off, i decided right now to take a week vacation in the end of january. so japan, here i come! yeah! i’m loving life even more!
