gosh, it’s been a while since i woke up to a rainbow. i’m either leaving home too early, or the trade winds have been gone for that long. so happy to walk out my door to this!
had an awesome time surfing with such a beautiful newlywed couple. just got married in Hawaii, it’s their first trip to Hawaii, and it’s also their first time surfing. it was pure stoke for them!
Matsura-san was the first to catch a wave. even on the paddle out, he was super happy just going over the waves. a newborn surfer!
i was watching him for the first few waves, then he started to ride waves on his own. i haven’t seen too many first time surfers do that before. great sense Matsura-san!
Esumi-san was just as happy. riding wave after wave forever.
she kept on going, going, and going. it was so fun to watch!
the day couldn’t have been any better. perfect weather, perfect waves, and perfect rides.

then i came home at 6:30pm, worked on my speargun for a little while i prepared and cooked this wonderful fresh kumu. now i have to go because it’s done! have a wonderful evening!
