when we were fishing, this dolphin came on the side of the boat and kept on playing and playing. you could see right in the eyes of this beautiful creature! we were so happy to see that! and i was so happy to get this photo!
20 years ago, i’d go on dive or fishing trips and try to catch as many fish as possible. trying my best to fill up the coolers. but now, i’m a different hunter. i only take what we need, and nothing goes to waste. we dive, catch a couple fish, we fish, catch a couple fish, and we just enjoy the time in the ocean. if everybody hunted this way, there will never be a shortage of fish in the ocean. pretty simple when you think of it.
Yuko-chan has always been the lucky fisherman. i’m pretty sure this was her biggest papio she caught. and it tasted so good with wasabi/shoyu.
nothings ever changed when i go fishing. i always have my pole spear nearby and when the fish comes near the boat, i spear it. that way it won’t jump around in the boat, get it all bloody, and possible setting a flying hook in someone. very safe and efficient, especially when it came to this barracuda with very sharp teeth.
Maki-san took this photo. can you see the deer in the mountain? we did! and this is the third time i been here and it’s the third time i saw deer. there must be hundreds!
came home and opened presents. thank you Miwa-san for the tororo! i love this in my miso soup!
and thank you Rikita-san for the potato chips! this is Mateus’s favorite!
stayed home this morning fixing all my guns. changing parts, redoing the line, and making sure everything is in top condition for next trip. can’t wait to do it all over again!
