had an awesome time with Abe-san and his son Yuta-kun today. they are from Ishinomaki so Hawaii always welcome the warm hearts of Tohoku! waves were perfect once again!
Yuta-kun is a college student. i’m sure he will be very successful just like his father. awesome surfing dude!
Abe-san only surfs in Hawaii so every time he comes, he catches about a years worth of rides. today was no exception. nice wave dude!

stopped by my favorite poke spot for some evening pupu’s. poke and beer? that’s paradise baby!
last night i get a call from Saito-san. she said her little 6 year old son Hayato-kun saw their surfing photos from the other day and wants to try surfing. i already had plans for this afternoon but since i have a weak spot when it comes to kids, i canceled and took Hayato-kun surfing. i really want to be the first one to take a kid surfing because it is the most important time. and this time, Hayato-kun surfed and surfed. he didn’t want to come in! haha. some cutie photos coming soon.
getting back to Ishinomaki, Masae-san brought me this gift from Ishinomaki. it’s scallop flavored rice? really don’t know how to explain it but it was freaking amazing! so easy to cook and so delicious!
