Yokohama Landmark Tower: The 27 Year Dream?

277

this has been my snack every day in Japan. fresh fruity tomatoes.

and another snack for dessert.

every time i leave Shikoku, i crave Tokushima Ramen on the way out. so stopped by with the boys yesterday.

it’s worth a 2 hour drive, and it’s worth 800 yen or $7 for this beautiful bowl of ramen. omg, why can’t we have ramen like this in Hawaii?

want to thank the Dove Wetsuit boys for the ride to the airport. and thank you for keeping me warm!

Tokushima equals Awadori!

only a one hour flight to Tokyo.

ANA airlines staff with the sayonara. this is the part of Japan i like. waving to an airplane? that’s cool!

closed my eyes and when it opened, i was in Haneda.

after all these years in Japan, i still trip out on the train system. and i realize more and more that no way it will work in Hawaii. no way!

back in 1990 on my very first trip to Japan, a friend brought me see the Yokohama Landmark Tower. i remember looking up and the hotel was going into the clouds!!! i couldn’t believe it. it was still being built and finally finished in 1993 with 69 floors. it became the tallest building in Japan. they even included a 5 star hotel on the top and i remember thinking “i hope i can stay there someday.” well, in my world, dreams come true!
