The Kings Day!

233

i really miss this!

i haven’t seen a camera like this in years!!! Tanno-san got it from Sendai and i’m wondering where they will process the film at?

yesterday’s part 2 was off to the north shore! i was stuck in the most heaviest traffic ever! took me 45 minutes to get to Haleiwa and another 45 minutes from there to Pipeline. a usually 5 minute drive. maybe they should have built the rail there???

finally arrived at Pipeline which is every Japanese surfers dream to see with their own eyes.

and yes, here are some of the lives Pipeline has claimed over the years. high reward, high risk.

stopped by the Izumo Taisha on the way back. a must visit for any Japanese first timer to Hawaii.

and we stopped by the King Kamehameha statue on the way back to town. i totally forgot it was King Kamehameha Day today!!! look at all the beautiful leis! this only happens once a year so today was the day! thank you Tanno-san and Sonoe-san for the wonderful day!

gosh, i didn’t realize how beautiful the King was! i was actually lost for words…

i had enough steak so now i’m ready for Japanese food. i’m jumping on a flight this morning. in the past 2 days, my plans changed 4 times. from Mexico to India to Bali to Okinawa to Taiwan to Philippines to ???. opps, that’s more than 7 times. haha. i’ll be in Japan for the next 2 days and nobody knows were i’ll be after that, including myself. but no matter where i end up, i’ll be a very happy man! see ya!
