it’s so funny how everybody is getting into free diving. i know that feeling because i was once there. Reid started diving with trunks and a t-shirt. now he’s fully equipped.
i want to congratulate Maki-san on spearing this delicious Kole yesterday. she came to the boat, i took this photo, and i told her to put it on the string on the buoy with the other fish.
not even a couple minutes after, i seen a shark fin swimming directly for the buoy where the fish was on. then “BAM!” a shark attacked the fish and made a big splash. this all happened right in front of my eyes!!! i yelled “SHARK! GET OUT OF THE WATER!” Maki-san was the fastest back to the boat.
then we pulled up the anchor, moved the boat a few hundred feet, and dove again. it’s must be mental or something because sharks can swim right? haha. anyway, we managed to put together a great delicious catch.
then like always on the way back, Reid throws out his little fishing pole and catches a pretty nice size papio. lucky guy!
came in at dark after eating dinner in the sea.
perfect time for the fireworks show. and no, it wasn’t by accident.
want to thank Akudo-san for the snacks from Japan!
heard from Matchi that there are a couple photos floating around on the web of my last trip to Japan. this is just one of my 20 or so barrels. i to find out where i can see the rest.
it seems like i just got back from a trip. but now it’s time for another one. it’s full summer vacation in Japan so all flights in and out are fully overbooked. we shall see if i end up in Okinawa or here in Hawaii. either way i’m in paradise so what ever happens, happens. can’t go wrong right? but if i do make it out of Hawaii, i’ll be ready for some good food and good times with my friends! if not, i’ll probably go to Molokai!
