here i am in tokyo getting emails and phone calls from all over japan. the next super typhoon is going to be crazy! yeah, i’ve been checking it out. i’ve finally decided to go back to my surfing job that is to be at the best place at the best time. with all the friends i have in japan, that’s pretty easy. i’m getting my boards together as we speak, i’m getting the transportation organized as we speak, and i’m getting pretty dam excited as we speak. i missed a few typhoon swells in japan already this year but i had more important things to do. and who cares because i never look back, i only look forward.
this is what’s forward. a category 4 typhoon packing winds of 230 km/hr or 125 knots. the diameter is 925 kilometers or 500 nautical miles. it’s going to hit okinawa on august 5th. i’m in tokyo now which is too far away for the big waves. the farther down south you go, the bigger it will be. i got my crew together and we’re heading south tomorrow. i want to ride the biggest barrel of this swell and i’m focused on doing that. stay tuned for daily updates. the drive will take over 14 hours but i’m already use to far drives. i haven’t been this excited about surfing in a while. surfing is my main job and i haven’t been so excited to go back to work!
see you in the water, or see you in the barrel.
Go-Naminori and Surf Your Dream!!!
