found the last parking spot at the Honolulu Airport. and got the last seat on the airplane heading for Japan. once again, timing was perfect.
i was sitting next to a lady that travels the world scuba diving. she’s been pretty much everywhere i’ve been so we chatted as i was checking out her photos. she told me this is a Pony Seahorse she saw off a remote inland of Komodo, Indonesia. this is the cutest sea creature i’ve ever seen!
i would have seriously cried if i didn’t get a seat to Japan because i would have missed this. fresh abalone with caviar that just melts in your mouth.
i can’t come close to describing how good it was. once it hit my palate, i was in heaven.
fresh live raw oysters! omg, it melted in my mouth!
the most expensive fungus in the world. Truffle can cost up to $6,000/pound. i can’t describe the taste of this too but i felt like i was in heaven’s heaven. some nice champagne and fine red wine to go along. this was only the beginning that i didn’t want to end.
want to thank Inaida-san and Yuki-san for the night in heaven. lots of good food, lots of good wine, lots of good laughs, and lots of good memories. i wanted to take out a piece of Truffle for my friends back in Hawaii but found out it wouldn’t last till then. so i at all of mine. Yuki-san had hers wrapped up for later.
customized and personal fine whisky along with good friends. can’t beat that combination…
it’s crazy that after 27 years of coming to Japan, things are only getting better and better! please don’t wake me up from this incredible dream…
