Asayama-san surfed so many spots this trip! that was his goal and i think we accomplished that.

i couldn’t resist getting a few myself. it was so fun!
and so stoked to see my longtime friend Richard Jacquias out there! we use to surf contests back in the 80’s and had some great competitive memories. this guy is the coolest Hawaiian you’ll ever meet.

my favorite thing about this spot it the amazing view. you won’t find a place even close to this in the world. it’s magical as Asayama-san rides to shore.
Nao-san works in the middle of busy Tokyo so coming here to surf at places like this must be surreal.
