this 9 year old kid’s been going out tandem with his Dad for years now. yesterday, he was playing in the inside so i said “hey, follow me kid.” it was going to be his first time he surfed on his own. i could tell he was very nervous but i know how to make nervous kids laugh like this. haha.
than a wave comes so he turns around, i push him into the most beautiful wave and he rides it perfectly. instantly, he turned from kid to man. i don’t think he will ever go tandem with Dad again. he got a taste of individuality and freedom! and us men love that! haha. welcome to the mens club Conner!
i was looking forward to an afternoon foil session but the waves were so small.
but if you foil, you can ride the smallest wave in the world.
my friend Carter finally got his new toy. and it looks freaking so good!
today was Day 1 for Carter. danger and frustration will humble all us men. and if you tried this, you will understand what i mean.
came home and smelt the sweetest gardenia flowers getting ready to bloom. actually seen about 10 fresh ones!
i planted this for Mateus when he was born. and it’s grown so strong and beautiful, just like him.
now my house if full of love and sweetness. i’m so happy!
