want to thank Rikita-san for documenting my target practice. with the target being 50 yards or 45 meters away, i could barely see it. but once you focus in, you just have to keep calm and hope the bullet goes where you want it to go.
started off with my .22 caliber rifle. this is just to warm up.
then i got out my brand new .270 Winchester. this is probably the best gun for hunting. i put in the bullet, loaded it, aimed for the target, and BAM!!! Rikita-san had the binoculars so after i shot it, i asked him where did it go? he said “right in the middle.” really???
yeah, my first shot went right in the center of the bullseye! i couldn’t believe i hit it from so far away. maybe some beginners luck? ended up doing pretty good after that too.
in Hawaii, guns are legal. in order to get one, you have to take a class, pass a test, then have the police department do a full background and mental health check. you will get fingerprinted, photo taken, and lots of other stuff. you have to register your gun, and make sure it’s in a safe place. so unlike other states in America where you can go to a store, show your identification, and walk out with an assault rifle and ammunition, things are much harder in Hawaii. just wanted to pass on some info…
