the last time Kuruhara-san surfed was 2 years ago with me in Hawaii. but from the first wave this morning, he didn’t forget a thing.
the conditions we perfect again. just glassy and just like summer.
then we went to the outside and challenged ourselves. some nice head high sets and as good as it gets. paddling and smiling the whole way.
we were waiting for our last wave when a big one came in. Kuruhara-san paddled hard, stood up, and got the ride of his life!
then it was Shuuta-kun’s turn. his last time surfing was 2 years ago too. right as we jumped on the board, this amazing smile shined.
Shuuta-kun’s only 8 years old and was so excited to surf. no hesitation at all once we caught the wave. he just wanted to surf, surf, and surf.
such a cute kid. i’m so happy to be able to share such precious moments like this with him.
after 10 long rides, Shuuto-kun had enough waves and enough smiles.
good job boys. i’m so happy to have surfed perfect waves on this perfect day in paradise. keep on smiling…
