i’m back home and now can tell you the many stories from our little family trip. i pulled up 2 days ago at the yacht club at 4:30am and couldn’t believe the Moniz’s were there??? wow, before me! and i couldn’t believe how much stuff they brought!!! seven people and a thousand pounds of luggage? hey guys, we’re going on a boat you know…
once we loaded everything up, we headed out in the dark and watched the day begin.
seen some pilot whales chasing something, and then seen a lot of humpback whales jumping all over the place.
then we had free entertainment. Tony Moniz telling the most funny stories of his life.
and it kept on going and going. we were all just laughing at everything.
then once we approached the beautiful island of Molokai, we all got exited. it was Kelia’s first time to Molokai. the birthplace of her ancestors.
the landscapes are breathtaking.
how did all these trees grow on this rock? amazing!
so happy to spend this wonderful time with the kids. i really missed moments like this. it’s totally priceless…
power spot.
on the way there, i found out it was all the kids and even Tony’s first time to the back side of the island. so it was even more special for me. kind of bummed that Micah and Seth couldn’t make it, but next time for sure.
we pull up to Tony’s house and was greeted by cousin Dino. one of the coolest Hawaiians in the world. he’s always taking care and watching out for the family with open arms.
we unpacked, got ready, and you wouldn’t believe the kind of waves we got to surf. and surfing with my nephews and niece was like a dream for me. sorry no photos of our private surf sessions.
Tony has taught his kids so much about surfing, life, respect, and most important, family. thousands more photos coming but for now, i must go to sleep.
it was a very long day as we came home straight through this huge storm. it has to be the most scariest channel crossings for me. i want to thank my crew for not panicking, and want to thank Mayuki for getting us home safely. good night everyone.
