we tried our best to get to the beach but the police wouldn’t let us through. the marathon was on so they said i have to wait 1 hour. something i cannot do. then i had a thought in my mind… um….
that’s right! park at Ala Moana shopping center, walk across the street, jump on Mayuki, and go surf!!! we cut right through the marathon and some of the runners didn’t look to happy about it. haha.
i told Kawakami-san, “today is your lucky day!” short boat trip, and surfing empty waves because nobody could access Bowls. score!
and Kawakami-san was surfing so good!!! long rides and happy smiles.
then Kelia and Joe paddled out and joined our dream session. the first thing Kelia said was “hey unko, let’s go dive!” haha. all we talked about was our past trip.
so fun watching this girl enjoying the ocean and just going with the flow. this is how a wave supposed to be ridden…
Kawakami-san caught so many waves this morning. it’s his first time to Hawaii so i’m not sure he realizes how lucky he was today. surf empty waves with a 2x World Champion.
good job! keep on surfing and keep on Hawaii!
came home and took out some grounded meat i brought back from Molokai.
have you ever tried deer mabo tofu??? it was delicious!
then picked up the energetic Nao-san. she just arrived today so jumping into the refreshing ocean at Diamond Head must have felt pretty dam good.
